چکیده

In this paper, we propose a new method for the derivation of priority vector from an incomplete pairwise comparisons (PC) matrix. We assume that each entry PC matrix provided by expert is also evaluated in terms expert's confidence particular judgment. Then, corresponding graph representations given matrix, all spanning trees are found. For tree, unique obtained with weight to levels entries constitute tree. At end, final through aggregation vectors achieved trees. Confidence modeled real (crisp) numbers and triangular fuzzy numbers. Numerical examples other methods provided. Last, but not least, introduce formula upper bound number trees, so decision maker gains knowledge (in advance) on how computationally demanding proposed

On the extraction of weights from pairwise comparison matrices

We study properties of weight extraction methods for pairwise comparison matrices that minimize suitable measures of inconsistency, ‘average error gravity’measures, including one that leads to the geometric row means. The measures share essential global properties with the AHP inconsistency measure. By embedding the geometric mean in a larger class of methods we shed light on the choice between...

Deriving weights from general pairwise comparison matrices

The problem of deriving weights from pairwise comparison matrices has been treated extensively in the literature. Most of the results are devoted to the case when the matrix under consideration is reciprocally symmetric (i.e., the i, j-th element of the matrix is reciprocal to its j, i-th element for each i and j). However, there are some applications of the framework when the underlying matric...

A note on deriving weights from pairwise comparison ratio matrices

This paper addresses the Cook and Kress method regarding the use of mathematical programming to derive weights from pairwise comparison ratio matrices. We note that the Cook and Kress formulation has the shortcoming that alternative optimal solutions may occur, which would lead to an infinite set of possible weights. This paper proposes to resolve the problem by formulating a Phase II optimizat...

Spanning trees with pairwise nonadjacent endvertices

A spanning tree of a connected graph G is said to be an independency tree if all its endvertices are pairwise nonadjacent in G. We prove that a connected graph G has no independency tree if and only if G is a cycle, a complete graph or a complete bipartite graph the color classes of which have equal cardinality.
